Introduction to T A U R U S aesthetic
Sasha Formoso
Taurus, the second sign of the Zodiac is our first experience of Earth as an element. Their expression is grounded, practical, and connected to material comforts. If you’re born under the Taurus Sun, you might likely find the base of your style is focused on luxury comforts, established brands, and pieces that contribute to the benefits of mother nature. A Taurus may not be as open to playing with new looks since they are not interested in fixing what isn’t broken though they are likely to upgrade if an item has earned it’s retirement. Despite their thought process being structured, their clothing choices typically have some room to spare. They crave physical comfort, which can often result in a wider silhouette, utilitarian styles, and outfits that double as lounge wear. They rely on their clothing to be reliable, durable, and eco friendly. A Taurus will appreciate slow fashion, plant dyes, recycled fabrics, natural fibers, and items that are made by hand. Also, Taurus should make sure they have well made shoes. A solid sole is important for all that stomping around that they do.
When approaching Taurus aesthetic, I consider a color palette of rich browns, sage, olives, and forest greens, warm terracotta and honey. I take the grounding, practical energy, then bump up the Goddess factor! Accessorizing Taurus is one of my favorite signs to explore! I’ll explore neck pieces and other jewelry that has some weight and significant meaning to accommodate the values of Taurus. In my experience, this is a sign that roots deeply into their being, connecting their values to their aesthetic expression. Taurus is ruled by Venus, so assume that everything must look and feel beautiful to them. Even when exploring more masculine avenues, there will be a heavy dose of intuitive feminine quality.
