Introduction to P I S C E S aesthetic
Sasha Formoso
Pisces aesthetic takes many shapes as the final sign of the Zodiac is a culmination of all the signs that came before it. Overall, approach to the mutable water sign is heavily based on narratives. The clothes are never simply clothes, rather they are tiny visual portals to reflect cinema, poetry, art, books, music, nature, and the unknown. Most often, the result tends to be in soft focus, pale to murky color palettes, has an “out of place” feeling in reference to their surroundings, a certain “modern mystic” aesthetic. I’ll often channel the silhouettes of poets, artists, and dancers. For me, those inspirations have an understanding of space and time in a very intimate and intuitive sense. They illuminate in solitude and offer as a choice in the right moment. A Pisces’ inspiration for style happens in private, in fantasy, and play-time. They will extract moments from their imagination rather than outside influence (where as Earth signs may use practicality + function or Fire signs may use the concept of audience). The result of such sources of inspiration is personal style that is often so personal that it can appear unrelatable or have an element of mystery. This is just another way Pisces is likely to feel misunderstood. Fear not, fishies, you are not alone. There are plenty of dreamers out there, just like you, swaying in pale blue organza, writing in their journals, and wishing their feet were fins or at least that your feet could buy a new pair of fantastic shoes! Stay magical, water baby! There are no rules for you, it’s all about the feels. Trust your gut.
